QTS, a Blackstone subsidiary, is building a 615-acre data center campus on Highway 54 on the west side of Fayetteville, planned for up to about 7 million sq ft. Its first building, over 1 million sq ft, opened in October 2025 and is leased to Microsoft for its Fairwater AI 'superfactory'. QTS has also filed plans for a 2 million sq ft expansion on 313 acres west of Veterans Parkway.
