QTS is expanding its data center hub at White Oak Technology Park in eastern Henrico County with two campuses, RIC4 (up to 10 data centers on a 478-acre site) and RIC5 (up to seven data centers on a 622-acre site), adding 1,100 acres to its footprint. QTS has received development plan approvals from Henrico and has applied to Virginia DEQ to permit 370 diesel-fired emergency generators. Part of RIC5 is a FAST-41 covered project requiring U.S. Army Corps of Engineers review for wetland impacts.
