Meta is putting more than $1 billion into an AI-optimized data center campus of over 700,000 square feet in Alliant Energy's Beaver Dam Commerce Park in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Alliant would supply the campus with 220 megawatts of power; Wisconsin regulators signed off on the rates in May 2026 while criticizing the secrecy of the deal. Operations at the data center are expected to begin in 2027.
