Maryland-based Natelli Holdings is developing a 900-megawatt, four million square foot data center in Vance County, off US 158 and Poplar Creek Road, according to The Daily Dispatch. In a letter dated Sept. 9, 2026, the developer told county leaders it had decided to file a plan for development of the site, and on Sept. 14 commissioners voted 5-2 for a 60-day data center moratorium.
