Project Tembo, first announced as Crusoe and Tallgrass's Project Jade, is a planned AI data center campus in the Switchgrass Industrial Park, 8 miles south of Cheyenne, powered by Tallgrass's 2.7 GW natural gas power hub. Laramie County commissioners unanimously approved the Crusoe site plans on January 6, 2026. Crusoe paused its work and left in spring 2026. A June 30, 2026 county filing identified Google, through Jupiter Star Holdings, as the owner of a scaled-down 716-acre, four-building plan with completion targeted for 2031.
