Sourced records of 170 major U.S. data center projects (status, location, planned capacity, developer, dated timeline, hearings, court cases and source links) and 112 local and state moratorium actions. Compiled by Data Center Census (AI Laws By State LLC); every fact in the project records cites a source. Locations may be approximate.

## Files
- projects.csv: one row per project (status, place, planned capacity in MW, developer, latest event)
- projects.json: full records with facts, timelines, hearings, cases and sources
- projects.geojson: project points (some locations are approximate; see coordPrecision in projects.json)
- moratoriums.csv: every recorded moratorium action with its source
- CITATION.cff, codemeta.json, zenodo.json: citation metadata
- SHA256SUMS.txt: SHA-256 of every other file (`sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS.txt`)

## How it is made
Compiled by Data Center Census from public sources; each fact cites the page it came from. The files are generated from the records by the site build (no manual editing), so they match https://datacentercensus.com/data on the as-of date. Figures are as stated by the sources.
